Senior Project Engineer

Location: Waterford, MI
Pay Type: Hourly
Pay Rate: Commensurate with Experience

Johnson & Anderson, Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Project Engineer with a proven track record in the private development sector. The individual will be responsible for managing, marketing, and growing Johnson & Anderson’s Private Market Share. The qualified applicant must be a motivated self-starter and be able to generate new clients as well as further develop existing clients.
 
Required Skills, Abilities and Minimum Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and minimum qualifications necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.

  • Educational requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience: At least 10 years of practical experience in civil engineering.
  • Michigan Professional Engineer license required.
  • Identify and develop business opportunities.

Senior Municipal/Civil Project Engineer

Location: Waterford, MI
Pay Type: Salary
Pay Rate: Commensurate with Experience

Johnson & Anderson, Inc. is currently seeking a Design/Process Engineer with proven experience in both municipal and private engineering projects. The Individual will be responsible for managing and engineering infrastructure related projects with minimum supervision. The qualified applicant must be a motivated self-starter and be willing to pursue new business opportunities as well as meet existing client’s expectations.
 
Required Skills, Abilities and Minimum Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and minimum qualifications necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent engineering degree.
  • 10 or more years of direct and progressive experience in civil engineering and site design.
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer in the State of Michigan.
  • Must be able to evaluate requirements and prepare bids and proposals, conduct preliminary evaluations, prepare Basis of Designs for Wastewater Treatment, Water Treatment and Pump Stations.
  • Ability to produce design drawings, prepare technical specifications, prepare permit submittals, and assist in providing bid services and construction administration.
  • Experience in obtaining required construction permits such as sedimentation and erosion control, storm water, and water/wastewater approval from governing agencies.
  • Effective time-management, written communication skills, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Perform as Project Engineer on municipal and government infrastructure related projects, water/wastewater treatment/distribution projects and civil/site land development projects. Including but not limited to pump station design and rehabilitation.
  • Provide technical and design services in support of infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct preliminary evaluations and prepare bids and proposals.
  • QA/QC design drawings.
  • Prepare technical specifications and permit submittals.
  • Provide bid services and construction administration.
  • Mentor and direct project/junior staff.
  • Pursue new business opportunities.

Land Surveyor In Training/Survey Crew Chief

Location: Waterford, MI
Pay Type: Hourly
Pay Rate: Commensurate with Experience

Johnson & Anderson, Inc. is currently seeking a Land Surveyor In Training/Survey Crew Chief in our Waterford, MI Office. The individual will be assigned to multiple project teams to support both Engineering and Surveying Professionals.
 
Required Skills, Abilities and Minimum Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and minimum qualifications necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.

  • 5 years’ experience as Survey Crew Chief or a Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying.
  • Land Surveyor in Training. Applicants scheduled to sit for the Land Surveyor in Training Exam may also be considered.
  • Experience with GPS, Robotic Total Stations, Civil 3D 2014 and ESRI products highly desirable.
  • Performs research, gathers and enters data from a variety of sources.
  • Assists with new and upgraded technology and solutions.
  • Support both Civil and Surveying personnel.
